Bob Dylan :-

Bob Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941, is an American singer-songwriter, author, and visual artist. He is one of the most influential figures in popular music and culture. Dylan's career began in the early 1960s when he emerged as a leading figure in the folk music revival. Known for his distinctive voice, poetic lyrics, and profound influence on music, Dylan has released numerous albums and iconic songs, including "Blowin' in the Wind," "Like a Rolling Stone," and "The Times They Are a-Changin'." He has won numerous awards, including multiple Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016 for his contributions to literature and the arts. Dylan's work spans a wide range of styles, from folk and blues to rock and country, and he continues to tour and release new music to this day.

Robert Frost :-

Robert Frost (1874–1963) was an American poet known for his vivid depictions of rural life in New England. He's celebrated for his mastery of everyday language and his exploration of complex themes such as nature, human relationships, and the passage of time. Some of his famous works include "The Road Not Taken," "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," and "Mending Wall." Frost received four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry during his lifetime and remains one of the most beloved and studied poets in American literature.

1.) Which is your favorite Poet/Lyricist? Why?

Ans.

My favourite Poet Robert Frost. Because Robert Frost Poem's in talk about the nature and human experience. I like nature.  His poems use clear language and are easy to understand, which makes them great for people who are new to poetry. He talks a lot about nature and how it relates to our lives.

2.) Share some lines from the Bob Dylan songs that you feel are relatable to you. Also, write the themes visible in those lines.

Ans

Blowin’ in the wind :- Bob Dylan

How many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky?

Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have

Before he can hear people cry?

Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows

That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind

The answer is blowin’ in the wind

These lines Themes :-

1) Social Justice and Injustice & Human tragedy :-

The final question brings attention to the theme of injustice and human tragedy. It raises the sobering reality of the consequences of inaction and indifference, prompting contemplation on the cost of ignoring the suffering and injustices that exist in the world.

2) Apathy and Awareness:- The central question "How many times must a man look up..." challenges a sense of apathy and calls for a heightened awareness of the world's problems.

3) The Search for Answers:- The repeated line "The answer is blowin' in the wind" reflects the frustration of seeking solutions to complex issues without clear answers.

3.) Share some lines from the Robert Frost poems that you feel are relatable to you. Also, write the themes visible in those lines.

Ans

         Fire and Ice :-Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

These lines Themes :-

1) Human Nature, Desire and Emotion:-  Exploration of human desires and passions, with the speaker's preference for fire indicating a leaning towards intense emotions and desires as driving forces in human behavior.

2) Passion vs. Apathy:-  Fire can be seen as symbolic of passion and burning emotions, while ice can represent coldness and apathy. The speaker's choice suggests a belief that the world will be ended by strong emotions rather than a slow fade into nothingness.

3) Metaphor:- Fire and ice serve as metaphors for different aspects of human experience, such as desire and hatred, suggesting that these emotions can lead to destruction on a personal or societal level.

4.) Post the picture clicked during the activity and share some lines of any songs from Movies, Poems, or any type of music you feel is relatable to the theme of songs by Bob Dylan and poems by Robert Frost

Ans.

In the activity I became the character of  Anjali (Little) from movie " Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ".

"Zindagi ek safar hai suhana

Yahaan kal kya ho, kisne jaana"

I like the song "Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli" from Aanand movie  which matches with the concept of Robert Frost Poems.

This song "Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli" match the Robert Frost Poems  "The Road Not Taken" .
